    **Schumer Shutdown Day 8**

    On October 1 at 12:01 am, the federal government partially shut down as a result of two measures failed within the Senate. The measures to reopen the federal government failed once more on Wednesday morning.

    After taking a break on Tuesday, the Senate voted on dueling proposals to fund the federal government on Wednesday.

    The Senate voted for the sixth time to fund the federal government and as soon as once more each proposals failed.

    The Democrat-backed proposal – which funds healthcare for unlawful aliens – failed in a 47-52 vote.

    The Republican proposal additionally didn’t get the 60 votes wanted. The Dems blocked the GOP invoice in a 54-45 vote.

    GOP Senator Rand Paul voted with the Democrats to dam the GOP-backed proposal.
