    JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday (Apr 9) mentioned Israel would hold hitting Iran-backed Hezbollah “wherever essential”, the day after deadly Israeli strikes pummelled Lebanon.

    “We’re persevering with to strike Hezbollah with drive, precision, and dedication,” Netanyahu mentioned on his private X account. 

    “Our message is obvious: anybody who acts in opposition to Israeli civilians – we’ll strike them. We are going to proceed to hit Hezbollah wherever essential, till we absolutely restore safety to the residents of the north” of Israel, he added.

    In the meantime, Israel’s navy mentioned it was persevering with floor operations in southern Lebanon, the place troops have been preventing Hezbollah and holding positions since early March.

    In a separate assertion, it mentioned it had struck in a single day “two key crossings utilized by Hezbollah terrorists and commanders for motion from north to south of the Litani River in Lebanon to switch 1000’s of weapons, rockets, and launchers”.

    It added that it had struck “roughly 10 weapons storage services, launchers, and command centres” belonging to the Lebanese armed group.

    Israeli strikes pummelled Lebanon Wednesday, killing over 200 folks and wounding over 1,000, the Lebanese well being ministry mentioned.
