Machado Misses Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, however Vows to Go to Oslo

Ana Corina Sosa, the daughter of the Venezuelan opposition chief María Corina Machado, accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of her mom, who was unable to reach in Oslo forward of the ceremony.

“I’m very unhappy and really sorry to inform you that I received’t have the ability to arrive in time for the ceremony. However I will probably be in Oslo. I’m on my approach to Oslo proper now.” “In the course of the previous 16 months in clandestinity, now we have constructed new networks of civic stress and disciplined disobedience, getting ready for Venezuela’s orderly transition to democracy. What we Venezuelans can supply the world is the lesson, cast by this lengthy and tough journey, that to have democracy, we have to be prepared to struggle for freedom.”
