    Austrian ex-agent given jail term for Russia spying

    VIENNA: An Austrian former intelligence officer was sentenced to greater than 4 years in jail on Wednesday (Might 20) after being discovered responsible of spying for Russia, within the nation’s most high-profile espionage case in a long time.

    Egisto Ott, 63, was handed a sentence of 4 years and one month behind bars for espionage in opposition to Austria, abuse of energy and corruption.
