    US renews Iran attacks, Tehran says it closed Strait of Hormuz

    WASHINGTON: America launched a new wave of attacks against Iran on Wednesday (Jun 11) evening as efforts to finish the three-month-old struggle sputtered, and Tehran hit again saying it would goal any ship going by way of the Strait of Hormuz.

    US Central Command stated American forces started “further self-defence strikes” at 5.15pm Washington time, early on Thursday in Iran, towards a number of targets in Iran, in response to what it known as Tehran’s “unwarranted and continued aggression”.
