CENTCOM on Wednesday introduced a brand new wave of strikes in opposition to Iran after President Trump declared the ceasefire over.

US strikes have continued in opposition to Iranian missile and drone websites in and across the Strait of Hormuz for 5 consecutive days.

CENTCOM mentioned in a statement that the second wave began this afternoon at 3 pm ET.

US Army forces used hellfire missiles to disable an oil tanker crusing towards Iran’s Kharg Island.

The missiles had been fired into the ship’s smokestack.

    Full assertion from CENTCOM:

U.S. forces enforced naval blockade measures in opposition to Iran, July 15, by disabling an unladen oil tanker trying to sail towards an Iranian port within the Arabian Gulf.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces noticed Curacao-flagged M/T Belma transiting worldwide waters towards Kharg Island.

The industrial vessel ignored a number of warnings because it tried to violate the U.S. blockade. A U.S. plane disabled the vessel after firing hellfire missiles into the ship’s smokestack. The ship is now not transiting to Iran.

U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade in opposition to vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas at 4 p.m. ET on July 14. Throughout the first 24 hours of enforcement, CENTCOM has redirected two compliant industrial vessels and disabled one non-compliant vessel.

U.S. forces stay vigilant and ready to make sure full compliance.
