SINGAPORE: US Ambassador Dr Anjani K Sinha has arrived in Singapore to start his tenure, the US Embassy Singapore stated on Thursday (Nov 6).
“I’m deeply honoured to signify the US in Singapore, a buddy of the US that could be a main hub for American enterprise and a pillar of regional stability,” stated Dr Sinha.
He added that he seemed ahead to working with the federal government and other people of Singapore to deepen collaboration.
“President Trump has requested me to extend our ambitions for cooperation with Singapore, based mostly on mutual respect and shared priorities. Specifically, I’m desperate to work with Singapore to areas similar to know-how, vitality, and safety.”
Dr Sinha, who was confirmed by the US Senate in October, was an orthopaedic surgeon.
He and his spouse, retired anesthesiologist Kiki Sinha, have been married for 48 years. They’ve two kids and three grandchildren.
The embassy stated Dr Sinha’s appointment displays the US’ dedication to working with Singapore on shared targets of prosperity and safety.
