UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations urged international leaders Monday (Dec 29) to concentrate on individuals and the planet in a New 12 months’s message depicting the world in chaos.

“As we enter the brand new 12 months, the world stands at a crossroads. Chaos and uncertainty encompass us. Division. Violence. Local weather breakdown. And systemic violations of worldwide legislation,” UN Secretary-Normal Antonio Guterres mentioned in a video message.

In 2026, as battle rages in Ukraine and elsewhere, world leaders should work to ease human struggling and battle local weather change, he added.

“I name on leaders all over the place: Get severe. Select individuals and planet over ache,” mentioned Guterres, criticising the worldwide imbalance between navy spending and financing for the poorest nations.
