    Trump vows tariffs on eight European nations over Greenland

    TARIFF

    From Feb 1, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Finland can be topic to a 10-per cent tariff on all items despatched to the US, Trump stated in a publish on his Fact Social community.

    Trump added that he was “instantly open to negotiation with Denmark and/or any of those nations”.

    Denmark known as Trump’s announcement a “shock”, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated it was “fully incorrect”, and French President Emmanuel Macron added: “Tariff threats are unacceptable and don’t have any place on this context.”

    “We can’t let ourselves be intimidated,” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson instructed AFP, including that the governments concerned had been engaged on a joint response.
