    Trump in Japan as hopes grow for China trade deal

    TOKYO: Donald Trump arrived in Japan on Monday (Oct 27), the subsequent leg of an Asia tour that might see the US president and China’s Xi Jinping finish their bruising commerce battle.

    Talking on Air Drive One, Trump mentioned he was hopeful of a deal when he sees Xi on Thursday in South Korea, whereas additionally indicating he was prepared to increase his journey as a way to meet North Korean chief Kim Jong Un.

    “I’ve loads of respect for President Xi and we’re going to I believe … come away with a deal,” Trump informed reporters en route from Malaysia, the place feedback from US and Chinese language commerce negotiators raised hopes of an accord.
