Spring breakers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, held unlawful boxing matches over the weekend – with cryptocurrency bets.
A bystander who recorded the seaside boxing matches instructed NBC Miami that he noticed college students working towards a circle of individuals on the seaside and overheard bystanders taking bets with crypto.
“Why aren’t they enjoying soccer? One thing that isn’t going to get individuals injured,” Joshua Pettus instructed NBC Miami.
“I began listening to any person taking bets and so they have been doing it with crypto,” Pettus stated.
Pettus stated he started recording after he noticed spring breakers placed on boxing gloves.
“Boxing gloves got here out, the ring obtained greater, and I knew the combat was going to begin,” Pettus stated.
Women and men participated within the boxing matches. Women in bikinis placed on boxing gloves and threw punches at one another as the gang cheered them on.
Fort Lauderdale Police broke up the fights.
“Fort Lauderdale Police witnessed and broke up two incidents on the seaside and the gang complied each instances with out additional points. There have been no reported confirmed circumstances of betting. The sort of habits is not going to be tolerated,” the town of Fort Lauderdale stated in an announcement.
