    MILAN: Thieves stole work by Renoir, Cezanne and Matisse from a museum in Italy every week in the past, police stated Sunday (Mar 29).

    4 masked males entered the villa of the Magnani Rocca Basis, close to Parma in northern Italy, and made off with the artworks in a single day final Sunday into Monday, a police spokesman advised AFP, confirming a report on the Rai tv community.

    They made off with “Fish” by Auguste Renoir, “Nonetheless Life with Cherries” by Paul Cezanne, and “Odalisque on the Terrace” by Henri Matisse.

    The thieves compelled a door to realize entrance to a room on the primary flooring of the constructing earlier than escaping throughout the museum’s park.

    Police are trying on the museum’s video-surveillance footage and that of neighbouring companies, stated the spokesman.

    The Magnani Rocca Basis hosts the gathering of artwork historian Luigi Magnani, which additionally consists of works by Durer, Rubens, Van Dyck, Goya and Monet.
