The tech world is beginning to eat its personal.

After years of encouraging younger individuals to chart their futures towards jobs in tech fields like laptop science and finance, more and more of those jobs are rapidly being taken by artificial intelligence systems that do the work better and faster.

That is just the start of the courageous new world that Silicon Valley tech billionaires are designing for all of us.

Robots empowered by AI will quickly not simply be cleansing our homes, delivering quick meals and performing manufacturing facility jobs, they are going to be doing all kinds of white-collar jobs, too. Academics, accountants, workplace managers, attorneys, consultants, designers, architects beware.

In the meantime, the rising alliance between tech bros and political leaders like President Donald Trump will permit the huge quantity of information amassed by the federal authorities to be shared with non-public tech firms, whereas AI-enhanced expertise will give the federal government surveillance powers past the wildest goals of old-time dictators.

With privateness gone, with jobs gone, with democracy subverted, frequent individuals might be left to amuse themselves with digital actuality video games, if they will afford them given the astronomic unemployment ranges that lay forward.

All of this might occur quickly, but Republicans in Congress are near passing a 10-year ban on any state legislation that may limit the growth of synthetic intelligence. In a decade, of course, it will likely be too late to place the brakes on any of this.

We’re all being shoved into a daunting future which none of us has had a voice in selecting.
