WARSAW: Poland detained a Russian accused by Warsaw of planning to kill a Ukrainian-American twin citizen within the Polish capital on Moscow’s orders, Prime Minister Donald Tusk introduced Thursday (Aug 13).
Tusk informed journalists the suspect had been arrested final Friday, Aug 7.
“He was inconvenient from the viewpoint of the Putin regime, and on the final second … we managed to forestall this execution,” he added.
“That is the primary state of affairs of its type through which somebody, appearing on Russian orders, determined to hold out an assault towards an American citizen on the territory of one other NATO nation,” he added.
Tusk mentioned brokers of the Polish Inner Safety Company (ABW) and police had arrested the suspect, with cooperation from American companies.
“We now have to simply accept the belief that the Putin regime will attempt to eradicate people who find themselves inconvenient for numerous causes,” Tusk mentioned.
Warsaw, he added, “will doubtless come beneath comparable strain once more”.
