    One dead, dozens injured as quake hits Turkey’s Marmaris

    ANKARA: A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Marmaris space of southwestern Turkey early on Tuesday (Jun 3), killing one teenager and injuring dozens of individuals, the inside minister stated.

    A 14-year-old woman died following a panic assault and a few 70 folks have been harm within the province of Mugla as they rushed to seek out security, Inside Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated on X.

    There have been no preliminary stories of buildings destroyed, he stated.

    The quake struck at 2.17am (7am, Singapore time) some 10km off the coast of Marmaris, the AFAD catastrophe company stated.

    “In Fethiye, a 14-year-old woman named Afranur Gunlu was taken to the hospital attributable to a panic assault however, sadly, regardless of all interventions, she handed away,” Yerlikaya stated.
