PARIS: Meta stated on Thursday (Sep 25) it was activating so-called “teen accounts” with added protections for adolescent Fb and Messenger customers worldwide, months after the function was rolled out in main English-speaking international locations.
“We’ve positioned a whole bunch of hundreds of thousands of teenagers in Teen Accounts throughout Instagram, Fb, and Messenger, and now we’re increasing them to teenagers world wide on Fb and Messenger,” the US firm stated in a weblog publish.

Meta’s teen accounts, which embrace stronger safety settings, content material restrictions and parental controls for customers aged 13 to 17, have been first launched on Instagram final 12 months.
