Re: “Katie Wilson elected Seattle’s next mayor” (Nov. 12, Native Information):

That headline gave me the identical sense of dismay, foreboding and bodily nausea as President Donald Trump’s reelection. Seattle simply elected for its chief govt somebody with out substantive administrative, management, monetary or political expertise. It’s straightforward to examine a return to a whole lot of tents in metropolis parks and the proliferation of petty crime and open drug dealing. It takes concepts, not ideology, to run a significant metropolis. It takes expertise and expertise to get issues executed.

Due to Mayor Bruce Harrell for 4 years of accountable, commonsense management that revered working, taxpaying residents whereas coping with the town’s points with pragmatic intelligence.

Who needs to reside in a metropolis the place it’s harmful to go to your native park or grocery retailer? Apparently greater than 50% of Seattleites do.

    Rick Robbins, Seattle
