Re: “Legal battles brew as states move to block deployments,” Oct. 7, Web page A1:

Years in the past after I joined Fb, the nasty offended trolls had been a shock. They had been all the time declaring {that a} conflict was coming, and I didn’t consider them. I do now. This president of chaos is creating conflict inside our cities.

I visited Washington, D.C., the week earlier than troops had been deployed. It was protected! I regularly go into Seattle, and it’s protected! I’ve household and mates in each Portland and Chicago. They’re protected!

I recognize Gov. Bob Ferguson and all of the governors who’re preventing to dam these deployments within the courts. That’s the place these battles needs to be fought.

And as a type of “silly previous white hippies,” however not but 90 years previous, I’ll proceed to protest the inhumane insurance policies of this administration with or with out troops current.

It’s the proper of all Individuals and with the assaults on our cities, it’s also my responsibility.

    Peggy Thesing, Shoreline
