    COPENHAGEN: A volcano erupted on Wednesday (Jul 16) in southwest Iceland, authorities mentioned, with dwell media photos exhibiting it belched smoke and dramatic flows of glowing scorching yellow and orange lava, the newest in a sequence of outbreaks close to the capital lately.

    Also known as a land of ice and hearth, the North Atlantic island nation with its many glaciers and volcanoes has now skilled a dozen eruptions since geological methods on its Reykjanes peninsula reactivated in 2021.
