It’s long gone time to junk the concept that “ … people who use our … roads and highways, ought to contribute …”
This tax is a burden on those that can least afford it: staff whose jobs can’t be executed remotely; these priced out of housing positioned close to job facilities; those that can’t afford electrical autos; communities underserved by public transportation.
Our tax system wants an overhaul in order that those that take advantage of and use essentially the most (assets) pay essentially the most — or on the very least their justifiable share, which is actually rather more than they’re paying presently.
