Violence broke out on the jail in Negombo, about 35 kilometres (22 miles) north of the capital Colombo on Sunday and continued on Monday, in accordance with native media stories and police.
The Negombo hospital obtained the our bodies of 4 jail guards and 15 inmates, hospital director Pushpa Gamlath informed the AFP information company on Monday.
