    UK government faces growing pressure over collapsed China spy case

    LONDON: Britain’s authorities vehemently denied on Monday (Oct 13) that it helped scupper a high-profile case involving two males accused of spying for China, because it comes underneath stress over its stance in direction of Beijing.

    Costs in opposition to Christopher Money, 30, and Christopher Berry, 33, had been dropped final month, two years after they had been arrested on allegations of amassing data which might be “helpful to an enemy”.

    Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s authorities covets Chinese language funding to spur a struggling economic system and is pondering a request from Beijing to construct a controversial new embassy building in London.
