Two articles actually caught my consideration not too long ago. The primary, “Artist pulls solo show at Smithsonian over alleged censorship” (July 25, Nation & World), instructed of artist Amy Sherald withdrawing her upcoming solo present from the Smithsonian’s Nationwide Portrait Gallery as a result of she’d been instructed the museum was contemplating eradicating certainly one of her work to keep away from upsetting President Donald Trump.

Within the second, “THING festival cancels Latin day amid ‘community safety concerns,’ ” (July 24, Leisure) low ticket gross sales and uncertainty about artists securing visas are cited. The visa concern has been exacerbated by the return to workplace of Trump.

When individuals worry the federal government, it’s tyranny. When the federal government fears the individuals, it’s liberty. I stand firmly for liberty and justice for all. Let’s work exhausting for it.
