Digital billboards: Seattle is not Las Vegas

Re: “Seattle council considers 8-foot-tall digital billboards in downtown” (Could 9, Native Information):

Placing up massive flashing indicators throughout downtown Seattle is a certain method to cheapen the look of our metropolis at a time once we are opening considerate, rigorously deliberate new vacationer locations downtown. With the elimination of the Alaskan Means Viaduct and connecting Pike Place Market with our waterfront, we’ve got one thing thrilling and delightful to point out the world.

We don’t want massive promoting signage attempting to persuade vacationers that they’re in Las Vegas as a substitute of the pure, stunning Pacific Northwest.

    Mike Hascall, Seattle
