    US State Department approves ’emergency’ weapons sale to Israel

    WASHINGTON: The US State Division authorized the “emergency” sale of 12,000 bomb casings to Israel on Friday (Mar 7) because the nations have interaction Iran in an escalating Middle East war.

    The requested sale of 450kg bomb casings, value an estimated US$151.8 million, was authorized by the State Division’s Bureau of Political-Army Affairs, in line with a press launch.

    “The proposed sale will enhance Israel’s functionality to fulfill present and future threats, strengthen its homeland defence, and function a deterrent to regional threats,” the bureau mentioned in a press release.

    Along with the munitions, the sale will embody US authorities and contract engineering, logistics and technical assist providers, in line with the discharge.

    Main US defence firms have agreed to quadruple manufacturing of superior weapons, President Donald Trump mentioned in a social media submit Friday, every week after the US and Israel first launched strikes on Iran.
