Re: “Trump feud puts Musk’s empire at risk” (June 7, Enterprise):

As an outdated “Star Trek” fan, studying about each try by the Trump administration to create a fascist nation I’m reminded of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard when he turned a part of the Borg. The Borg was a biomechanical entity that captured the souls of people and made them a part of its collective. The Borg’s response to these resisting was, “Resistance is futile.”

We all know the continuous chaos created by President Donald Trump is a tactic to overwhelm the opposition. We all know this so-called feud with Elon Musk is a distraction from extra vital points. So it was a reduction to see the Trump-Musk feud relegated to the Enterprise part.

The urgent points want clear vocabulary reflecting what is occurring whereas remaining every day headlines and dominating the primary few pages: Gaza genocide, the Russian invasion, immigration apartheid, destroying judiciary oversight, rising inflation from tariffs, and so forth. And essentially the most essential concern proper now: The One Huge Unhealthy (not Lovely) Invoice Act. The invoice is inhumane to people who find themselves struggling, shifts the tax burden to on a regular basis residents and threatens our very democracy.

Within the spirit of Capt. Picard, who overcame the Borg, keep in mind free press, “Resistance is crucial!”
