    Russia urges caution in nuclear ‘rhetoric’ after Trump comments

    MOSCOW: Russia urged warning on Monday (Aug 4) after US President Donald Trump said he would deploy two nuclear submarines following a web based row with former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

    Trump stated he had ordered the deployment in response to what he alleged have been extremely provocative feedback by Medvedev, saying the submarines could be positioned in “applicable areas”.

    Trump didn’t say whether or not he meant nuclear-powered or nuclear-armed submarines.

    He additionally didn’t elaborate on the places, that are saved secret by the US navy.

    “Russia could be very attentive to the subject of nuclear non-proliferation. And we imagine that everybody needs to be very, very cautious with nuclear rhetoric,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov advised reporters, together with from AFP, on Monday.

    The row between Medvedev and Trump erupted in opposition to the backdrop of the US leader’s ultimatum for Russia to end its military offensive in Ukraine or face recent financial sanctions, together with on its remaining buying and selling companions.
