I spent all day Monday speaking myself out of doing one other cartoon about President Donald Trump. The president’s close to each day outrages and acts of buffoonery can drive a cartoonist cuckoo if she or he tries to chase after every one.
However, lastly, at about 10 p.m., I made a decision I couldn’t let Trump’s despicable comment about the murder of beloved Hollywood director Rob Reiner go unremarked. Along with his newest social media screed, Trump had descended to a brand new depth of vile loutishness.
Reiner and his spouse, Michele Singer Reiner, had been discovered useless of their house. Their daughter, Romy, found her dad and mom’ our bodies and their son, Nick, has been arrested on suspicion of homicide. It is a horrific tragedy that any individual with an oz of empathy would view with unhappiness and compassion.
Not Trump. He despatched out a touch upon his social media platform that mentioned the Reiners had been murdered “reportedly because of the anger he induced others by his huge, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a thoughts crippling illness generally known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.” Trump ranted on, saying Reiner “was recognized to have pushed folks CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, along with his apparent paranoia reaching new heights because the Trump Administration surpassed all objectives and expectations of greatness.”
The odiously flippant means through which the president sought to attain political factors in opposition to a critic who had simply died a horrible loss of life is made much more galling by his delusional claims to greatness. We now have lengthy recognized that Trump is a person missing in grace, good style and humility who’s consumed by his yearning for adulation and his vicious enmity for anybody who fails to stroke his bloated ego, however, with every passing day, it turns into extra apparent that the president of america is a sick human being who disgraces the workplace he holds.
