Re: “State should offer people with disabilities dignity, choice” (Dec. 18, Opinion)
The state Legislature has tough choices to make with reference to balancing the funds within the session beginning in January.
However, as the author identified, supporting folks with disabilities of their communities is extra economical and humane than establishments and hospitalizations.
With greater than 23,000 folks on the waitlist for providers, this state must do higher by its most weak residents. Let’s not repeat the errors made over the last monetary disaster.
