LA HABANA, Cuba: Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel confirmed on Friday (Mar 13) that his authorities had held talks with the USA, which has made no secret of its need for regime change on the communist island.
US President Donald Trump has mentioned Cuba will be “next” on his agenda after Iran and the US overthrow of prime Cuba ally, Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.
In January, he positioned the impoverished island underneath a US oil blockade, strangling its gasoline provide on the idea of what he known as the “extraordinary menace” posed by Cuba to the USA.
Throughout a gathering with prime Cuban authorities, broadcast dwell on nationwide tv, Diaz-Canel confirmed that Havana was negotiating with Washington.
