To the story “UW study: ICE hasn’t sanctioned state facility over abuses” (July 18, A1), I might add, “neither is it possible to take action.”

The well being and questions of safety on the Northwest ICE Processing Heart in Tacoma, which is run by a non-public firm, GEO Group, have been recognized for years.

GEO is a global firm on the New York Inventory Alternate and the abuses occurring in Tacoma are widespread to all GEO detention facilities.
