    Israel keeps up Lebanon strikes as ground forces advance

    “DIRECT” CLASHES

    Beneath a November 2024 truce, solely United Nations peacekeepers and the Lebanese military could bear arms south of the Litani river. 

    Israel was alleged to withdraw all of its forces, however has saved troops in areas it deems strategic and carried out common air strikes, citing Hezbollah’s refusal to give up arms.

    On Tuesday, Israel’s navy stated it was making a buffer zone inside Lebanon to guard Israeli residents.

    Hezbollah stated its fighters had engaged Israeli troops in “direct” clashes in Khiam, whereas Israel stated two of its troopers had been “reasonably injured” by anti-tank hearth.
