    Germany’s air drive says it has scrambled two Eurofighter jets to trace a Russian reconnaissance plane after it had entered impartial airspace over the Baltic Sea.

    In a press release, the air drive stated its “fast response alert drive” was ordered on Sunday by NATO to analyze an unidentified plane flying with no plan or radio contact.

    “It was a Russian IL-20M reconnaissance plane. After visible identification, we handed over escort duties for the plane to our Swedish NATO companions and returned to Rostock-Laage,” it added.

    The operation was performed as NATO prepares to convene its North Atlantic Council on Tuesday to debate a separate incident involving Russian jets over Estonia.

    In keeping with the Reuters information company, that assembly is to deal with what Tallinn known as an “unprecedented and brazen” violation of its airspace on Friday when three Russian MiG-31 fighters entered with out permission and remained for 12 minutes earlier than leaving.
