    Elected officials: Focus on serious work

    Re: “From robots to Trump, WA legislators eye forces beyond their control” (Jan. 10, Native Information):

    That is an entertaining column. It has sparked dialog about each the foolish issues our legislators go after in addition to some severe points. My take from this column is that our elected officers aren’t doing the intense work required of them, which must be to enhance the lives of the folks they symbolize. For instance, be sure our tax {dollars} are spent properly and effectively. Perhaps decrease some taxes or restore our infrastructure.

    It appears that evidently an increasing number of our elected officers go after ideological points and ignore issues like staying inside budgets. If there’s one legislation I feel they need to cross, it might be that these operating for workplace be required to have a minimum of some fundamental information of economics, finance and accounting.
