President Trump on Wednesday responded to a report that China could be offering weapons to Iran within the coming weeks, saying he could be stunned and “disenchanted” if true.
Trump beforehand mentioned that Xi Jinping had assured him that China wouldn’t present weapons to Iran.
In line with Reuters, China was planning to offer shoulder-launched missile programs to Iran in a $60-70 million deal.
Iran would obtain 300-400 man-portable air protection programs (MANPADS) within the coming weeks.
China has since denied the report.
