    Superdry co-founder jailed by UK court for eight years for rape

    LONDON: The co-founder of British trend model Superdry, James Holder, was sentenced to eight years in jail for rape on Thursday (Could 7) at a courtroom in southwest England.

    A jury discovered Holder, 54, responsible final week of raping a lady in 2022 after assembly her in a bar in Cheltenham.

    Decide David Chidgey described the rape by the multimillionaire trend boss as “a despicable piece of sexual violence”.

    “It was about your sense of entitlement and your sense of doing what you wished and your informal disregard for the sufferer’s absolute proper to say what she wished to do together with her personal physique,” Chidgey informed Bristol Crown Courtroom.

    Holder was one of many co-founders of Superdry in 2003, however left the group in 2016.

    The streetwear model was delisted from the London Inventory Alternate in 2024 after saying a drop in gross sales and has rebranded as Superdry & Co.
