WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump lashed out on Monday (Apr 6) at NATO allies who did not support the United States within the struggle in Iran and reiterated his want to annex Greenland.
Trump’s remarks got here forward of a go to by the defence alliance’s chief Mark Rutte scheduled for later this week.
“Look, we went to NATO,” Trump recalled. “I did not ask very strongly, I simply mentioned, ‘Hey, if you wish to assist, nice.'”

The remarks mark the newest dust-up between Trump and the alliance.
Trump has made no secret of his want to annex Greenland – managed by NATO ally Denmark – which has been strongly resisted by the alliance.
Discussing his displeasure with NATO, Trump mentioned: “All of it started with – if you wish to know the reality – Greenland.”
“We would like Greenland,” Trump mentioned. “They do not need to give it to us. And I mentioned, ‘bye, bye’.”
Trump additionally criticised different conventional non-NATO allies together with South Korea, Australia, and Japan for not aiding with the Iran struggle.
Trump praised Gulf nations together with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates for his or her assist throughout the battle.
