    US ‘not concerned’ by reports Russia aiding Iran’s targeting

    WASHINGTON: US Protection Secretary Pete Hegseth mentioned Friday (Mar 6) that america is “not involved” about stories that Russia is offering intelligence to Iran on US troop positions and actions.

    Whereas declining to verify the stories, Hegseth, in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” mentioned: “We’re monitoring every little thing.”

    “Our commanders are conscious of every little thing,” he mentioned. “We now have the very best intelligence on the earth. We’re conscious of who’s speaking to who.”

    “We’re not involved about that,” the defence secretary mentioned. “We mitigate it as we have to.”

    Earlier Friday, the White Home additionally downplayed a report that Russia is offering Iran with concentrating on details about US forces within the Center East.

    “It clearly shouldn’t be making a distinction with respect to the navy operations in Iran as a result of we’re utterly decimating them,” White Home Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt advised reporters.

    “We’re attaining the navy targets of this operation and that’s going to proceed,” Leavitt mentioned.
