    Vietnam’s top leader to travel to US for ‘Board of Peace’ meeting

    HANOI, Vietnam: Vietnam’s high chief To Lam will journey to the USA subsequent week for a gathering of US President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace”, two sources briefed on the go to advised AFP on Thursday (Feb 12).

    Lam was reconfirmed as normal secretary of Vietnam’s Communist Get together in January, after launching sweeping growth-oriented reforms officers describe as a “revolution”.

    He accepted Trump’s invitation to hitch the “Board of Peace” as a founding member state, the international ministry introduced final month.

    The board, of which Trump is the chairman, was initially meant to supervise the rebuilding of the Gaza Strip after two years of battle, however its constitution seems to increase past the Palestinian territory.

    The primary assembly is scheduled to happen on Feb 19 in Washington.

    Lam stated he was dedicated to working with the USA and the worldwide neighborhood to make “optimistic contributions” towards Center East peace, state media reported final month. 

    Vietnam and the USA are at present negotiating a commerce deal after Washington imposed 20 per cent tariffs on Vietnamese items.
