I write to understand The Occasions’ editorial “An appreciation: Nancy Nordhoff’s leap of faith is changing the world” (Jan. 20, Opinion).
It captured her deep affinity with the lives and voices of ladies, and the land. It missed one inflection. Nancy wished us to listen to from the unheard. Since girls of colour have been essentially the most silenced, she made a concentrated effort to achieve out to them. Hedgebrook immediately is exclusive amongst writers’ residences in welcoming so many.
