    CARACAS: Venezuela rejects “navy aggression” by ⁠the US, the federal government of President Nicolas Maduro ‍stated ⁠in ‍an announcement early on Saturday (Jan 3).

    Assaults ⁠passed off within the ‍capital of Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La ‌Guaira, the assertion ‍stated, ‌prompting Maduro to declare a nationwide emergency and name on ‌social and political forces to “activate mobilisation plans”.

    A minimum of seven explosions and low-flying plane had been heard round 2am native time (2pm, Singapore time) on Saturday in Caracas.

    It was not instantly clear what was behind the explosions. Venezuela’s authorities, the Pentagon and White Home didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.
