SYDNEY: Australian police stated on Monday (Dec 15) that the alleged offenders behind the attack at Sydney’s Bondi beach are a father and son duo, and that they weren’t searching for a 3rd offender.

Police stated throughout a media briefing that investigations confirmed solely two offenders have been answerable for the assault at a Jewish vacation celebration that killed 16 individuals and injured 40.

One of many gunmen suspected of taking pictures and killing 15 individuals at a Jewish pageant on Sydney’s iconic Bondi Seaside has been named in native media as a person from town’s southeast.

The alleged assailant was 24-year-old Naveed Akram from the Sydney suburb of Bonnyrigg, Australian public broadcaster ABC stated, quoting an official talking on situation of anonymity.

Police have raided the person’s dwelling, the broadcaster and different native media reported.

“The 50-year-old is deceased. The 24-year-old is at the moment in hospital,” New South Wales police commissioner Mal Lanyon advised a information convention. “I can say that we’re not searching for an additional offender,” he stated.
