    Air visitors on the Eindhoven airport within the south of the Netherlands has resumed after a suspension that lasted a number of hours as a result of a number of drone sightings, the Dutch defence minister has mentioned.

    Visitors resumed round 11pm (22:00 GMT), Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans mentioned on Saturday, two hours after he had first reported the disruption.

    “Defence has taken measures,” the minister mentioned. “Out of safety issues no additional info might be shared.”

    Eindhoven serves each as a civilian and as a navy airport. All forms of air visitors have been suspended, Brekelmans mentioned.

    Army fires at drones

    Individually on Saturday, the Defence Ministry mentioned the Dutch navy opened fireplace at drones over Volkel Air Base within the east of the nation on Friday, however no wreckage was recovered.

    Safety employees on the base reported the drones between 7pm and 9pm on Friday (between 17:00 and 19:00 GMT), prompting the air drive to fireplace ground-based weapons to take them down, the ministry mentioned in a press release.
