GAZA CITY: Gaza’s civil defence agency said 21 people were killed on Saturday (Nov 22) in a number of Israeli air strikes, as Hamas and Israel once more traded accusations of violating the delicate ceasefire.
Saturday marked one of many deadliest days for the reason that US-brokered truce took impact on Oct 10 after two years of conflict.
The Israeli army stated an “armed terrorist” had crossed the so-called Yellow Line inside Gaza, behind which Israeli forces have withdrawn, and fired at troopers on a route used for humanitarian help deliveries.
In response, the army stated it “started placing terror targets within the Gaza Strip”.
Mahmud Bassal, spokesman for the civil defence company working underneath Hamas authority, informed AFP there have been “21 martyrs this night in 5 separate Israeli air strikes, in a transparent violation of the ceasefire in Gaza”.
He stated the lifeless included seven individuals killed and greater than 16 wounded in a strike on a home in Nuseirat in central Gaza, and 4 killed in an air strike on a residential house within the Al-Nasr district west of Gaza Metropolis.
