    SNAP benefits: Where are the corporate benefactors?

    Re: “SNAP benefits to run out in a week if federal budget standoff isn’t resolved” and “Seattle-area companies help fund Trump’s White House ballroom” (Oct. 24, A1):

    American meals banks are stretched skinny of sources as a result of vital cuts in funding and federal jobs made by the Trump administration. The U.S. Division of Agriculture now threatens to withhold contingency funds for Supplemental Diet Help Program advantages starting Nov. 1.

    Maybe Microsoft, T-Cellular and Amazon can prolong the largesse they donated to the White Home ballroom to help our native meals banks.
