Texas DPS pursued a pickup truck pushed by a human smuggler in Webb County earlier this week, carrying quite a few unlawful aliens.
The motive force, Damian Cantu, was smuggling the illegals and stopped to allow them to out. After that, he continued the high-speed chase. He finally stopped and took off on foot. DPS troopers caught him and arrested him.
Cantu was charged with evading arrest and a number of other counts of human smuggling.
He instructed authorities that he was being paid $250 per individual for smuggling them.
