    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday (Oct 15) that he authorised the CIA to conduct covert operations in Venezuela, marking a pointy escalation in US efforts to stress President Nicolas Maduro’s authorities.

    The New York Occasions first reported the labeled directive, citing US officers accustomed to the choice, saying the Trump administration’s Venezuela technique goals to take away Maduro from energy.
