    US President Donald Trump stated on Monday (Sep 29) he would impose a 100 per cent tariff on all foreign-made films, an unprecedented transfer that threatens to upend Hollywood’s international enterprise mannequin.

    The step indicators Trump’s willingness to increase protectionist commerce insurance policies into cultural industries, elevating uncertainty for studios that rely closely on worldwide box-office income and cross-border co-productions.

    Trump introduced the measure in a put up on his Fact Social platform, claiming US movie-making is shedding floor to worldwide competitors.
