National Guard in D.C.: ‘The most policed city in the world’

Bloodthirsty criminals. Rampant crime. Roving gangs of teenage thugs. Ruthless murderers. That is only a pattern of the fearmongering coming from the White Home about Washington, D.C. Whereas some within the information media are calling this what it’s — fully false and apparent diversionary ways — I wish to level out one thing that’s been lacking within the debate about Nationwide Guard troops: Washington might be probably the most policed metropolis on this planet, as anybody who has lived or visited there can attest.

There’s the Metropolitan Police Division of the District of Columbia; the Metro Transit Police Division; the U.S. Capitol Police; U.S. Park Police; the Secret Service; and the Metro Particular Police Division. The FBI is headquartered in D.C., and the CIA and Drug Enforcement Administration close by. As well as, there’s non-public armed safety at some areas similar to embassies. Whereas no metropolis is crime-free, it’s tough to stroll two blocks wherever in D.C. and never see a police presence.

Within the meantime, Nationwide Guard troops with jobs and households at house are being deployed to deliver jaywalkers and cellphone-using drivers to justice.
