The article “How does your WA neighborhood rank for ‘tree equity’? Check this map” (Aug. 20, Local weather Lab) notes “a fuller tree cover comes with a bunch of advantages.” That’s why I’m glad that U.S. Rep. Marilyn Stickland co-introduced a bipartisan invoice, the Cool Corridors Act.

This invests in tree canopies and shade infrastructure alongside transit corridors, sidewalks, bus stops, college zones and underserved neighborhoods. I hope we’ll see the advantages of this invoice quickly.
